A Season of Celebration Just a short while after the New Year is celebrated on the secular calendar, another and different New Year's celebration take place. Every year on the 15 of Shevat, the Hebrew month associated with January- February, Jews celebrate a holiday called Tu'Bshvat, also known as the New Year of the trees, which marks the beginning of a new fruit crop.
