Alpha Epsilon Delta

University of Maryland Beta Chapter

Alpha Epsilon Delta is the national pre-medical honor society. Its members include outstanding students preparing for careers in allopathic, dental, osteopathic, optometric, podiatric, and veterinary medicine, as well as other allied health professions.

The objectives of the Society are: to encourage excellence in premedical scholarship; to stimulate an appreciation for the role of premedical education in the study of medicine; to promote cooperation and contact between medical and premedical students and educators; to bond similarly interested students; and to benefit health organization, charities, and the community. AED maintains a vigorous program of activities at the national and chapter levels.
