ALA is a student chapter of the American Library Association,
which seeks to to provide leadership for the development, promotion, and improvement of library and
information services. The student chapter strives to create professional awareness by presenting
speakers and workshops as well as organized tours and events. It also promotes interaction among
students and with alumni through the hosting of various social events.
