Mission Statement The UMD Anthropology Student Association seeks to represent students to the Department of Anthropology, further the education of students in the Department, promote understanding and openess among Undergraduate Students

	What is Anthropology? Anthropology, simply put, is the study of humanity. It is divided into foursubgroups: Cultural Anthropology, Biological Anthropology, Linguistic Anthropology, and Archaeology. While these sub groups have different focuses, the concept that ties them together is culture, one of the main aspects that defines us at humans.
