Welcome to the home page of the Association of Students from Romania in Washington D.C. area. 
ASTROM is a young student association born in February 2000 at the initiative of a group of students 
from Universities in the Washington D.C. area: University of Maryland, College Park, Catholic University,
American Univeristy, George Washington University and Georgetown University. The association is
registered at University of Maryland, College Park where most of its members study.
On this page you will find useful information on how to study abroad and you will also get some tips 
once you arrived in the United States. You will also find interesting facts about Romania and the cultural
activities organized by the Romanian community in Washington D.C. area (especially student activities).
