Ever wonder what would happen if you took a Fear the Turtle banner skydiving? So did we. So, we bought one from the Maryland Book Exchange, had a parachute rigger reinforce it and add handles, and took it skydiving. Kevin Grishkot (red helmet) and club founder Lewis Gershen (black helmet) left a Cessna Caravan at 13,500 feet over Skydive Cross Keys holding on to the banner. Freefall photography by Rick Wynne.

The Cessna Caravan

Lewis and Kevin, all geared up and ready to go.

The banner in freefall.

Fear the Turtle banners do not like 120 mph wind. What's their return policy?

A closeup of Kevin's All-Maryland gear. If we could just get a little more funding from the SGA, we'd all look like that!

Lewis' and Kevin's rigs. School spirit! (...and yes, Kevin does own two rigs.)
