Event Summary
Although a majority of the works of the much revered oriental philosophy
has been compiled in Sanskrit, a language pretty much defined like
an algorithm in 4000 rules by Panini, its relevance in modern world
is much talked about.
Please join DESI (Develop, Empower and Synergize India) and UMD Samskritum
in welcoming Sri Cha. Mu. Krishna Shastry to hear about 'why sanskrit
in modern world'.
Mr.
Shastri is a founding member of Samskrit Bharati, an organization
dedicated to bringing sanskrit back to the main stream. He will share
with us his experience of how a small initiative, started with a few
friends, grew to become a huge educational institution with over 10,000
teachers & reaching out to nearly 4 million people.
He is also known for his unique & unconventional style of lecture
delivery. His talks are mostly in sanskrit, but absolute strangers
to sanskrit walk out with total understanding of the subject matter.
You have to experience it to believe it.
