Study Group on Indian Philosophy
Continuing our efforts from
last year, on popular demand, we are starting the study group on
Indian Philosophy. This study group will focus on selected topics
from the course in Spring Break**.

where he touched upon three major religions (Buddhism, Hinduism,
Jainism, Conucianism, Taoism & Shintoism) from a pure academic

Communism in India
Join us for a VID (Volunteer
Invited Discussion) by Kaushik Mitra (a physics graduate student)
for a discussion on Communism in India. Kaushik will start with
a general introduction of communist ideology & its evolution
on the international fora. He will then move on to rise of communism
in India (1925) and the events since then.
Expected to take place in
first two weeks of November, 2009!

Panel Discussion on Terrorism
Mumbai attacks have raised
a plethora of questions and concerns. There is an increased need
for public awareness about terrorism. This event will focus on key
issues relating to terrorism & ways in which common people can
help fighting the war on terror.
