International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA) South Quarterfinal
Faux Paz and seven other immensely talented collegiate a cappella groups from the region gathered in
Baltimore for an incredible competition filled with jaw-dropping performances. We were thrilled and
honored to be awarded 2nd place and advance to the next round, the ICCA South Semifinal in Nashville,
TN!

Award Ceremony for National Medal of Science Recipient Jim Gates
University of Maryland President Wallace Loh invited Faux Paz to perform at the University House
for Professor Sylvester James “Jim” Gates Jr., who was awarded the highly prestigious National Medal
of Science by President Barack Obama. We were honored to sing one of Gates’s favorite songs and
congratulate him on earning the nation’s highest award in science.

Faux Paz was thrilled to travel to Music City to compete with nine other phenomenal groups! The
competition was amazing, and we were ecstatic to win 4th place overall AND two special awards,
including Best Choreography and Best Vocal Percussion for our very own Chris Lim!

Singing for a Cure: An Evening of A Cappella Benefitting the American Cancer Society
Get ready for dream-come-true night of a cappella with SIX incredible groups and the opportunity to
make a difference in the fight against cancer! Maryland’s own DaCadence, PandemoniUM, Treblemakers,
Generics and Faux Paz are over-the-top excited to collaborate for this awesome show and awesome
cause! Plus, you won’t want to miss an appearance by the incredible Word of Mouth, an a cappella group
comprised of singers from some of the East Coast’s premiere collegiate singing groups, including Faux
Paz alum Josh Birch! There will be no charge for the show, but 100% of any donations that you generously
decide to give will go directly to the American Cancer Society!

Relay For Life
Faux Paz is extremely excited to be a part of this university’s Relay For Life event, when thousands of
students will walk through the night for 12 hours to celebrate cancer survivors and raise money for research
and programs. We will be performing a short set of about three songs that are sure to help put a little pep in
everyone’s step during the event!
