Faux Paz Win 1st Place at ICCA Quarterfinals!
At last night's quarterfinal of the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella, we competed against six incredibly talented groups from across Virginia, Maryland, and D.C.  We are thrilled to report that we took home first place at the show, which was hosted by the great folks from DoubleTake at the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Va.  Congratulations to our very own Jon Resnick, who took home the award for Best Vocal Percussion!  Along with DoubleTake, we will now advance to the National Semifinals on March 29 at Wake Forest University.  Stay tuned for more details!

-"This co-ed group has finally made a whole album that captures the joyous rapture of one of their live performances."
-"The talent is present in all aspects of musicality with great blend and balance between the voices.
"
            -"
It would be a terrible crisis if you didn't pick up the newest album by The Faux Paz."
            -"
Better-conceived than three-quarters of the scholastic albums I have heard, Crisis Control is effective and impressive."

April 20: Spring Big Show & CD Release
This spring's Big Show is going to be an especially exciting one for us.  We spent an entire week back in January down at JGP Studios in Charlottesville, Va. with award-winning a cappella producer James Gammon, working hard on our 4th studio album, entitled Crisis Control.  We will be releasing this CD at our Big Show on April 20th and we're very excited with how it sounds!  Check out the tracklist and other information here on our website-- this album features 11 of your favorites from the last 3 semesters, including all of our new arrangements from the fall '06 semester.  This Big Show is also very special because its the last one for our five departing seniors.  The show starts at 8PM in the Memorial Chapel here on campus, and all you need to get in is 5 bucks!  Sound engineering will be provided by the a cappella pros at Liquid 5th Productions, based in North Carolina.
