About JASA

The Japanese American Student Association (JASA) at the University of Maryland, College Park was founded in 2008. Our organization strives to bring together students who have a shared interest in Japan and Japanese culture. Whether you're a life long fan of all things Japanese, know absolutely nothing about Japan but are interested in learning more, or are Japanese yourself, we welcome you to attend our general body meetings and exciting events to explore all the quirks of this fascinating country and its customs.

Missions:
- To unite the interests in the Japanese culture among the students of UMCP.
- To increase awareness and the understanding of the Japanese culture.
- To serve, represent, and advocate for the Asian Pacific American community as a whole.
