University Charges
Students facing charges from the university can seek assistance from Student Defenders employed by the Undergraduate Legal Aid Office. Student Defenders are specially trained to answer your questions and act as your representative at hearings, should you want them to.
Charges can fall under any of three categories: Academic Integrity, Student Conduct, and Rights and Responsibilities.
For information on the intake process or to view Frequently Asked Questions see the navigation bar on the right side of the screen. For a link to the Office of Student Conduct, or to view the Code of Academic Integrity and University Policies visit the links page.
The University of Maryland's Student Legal Aid Office does not share any of your information or anything discussed between student and staff.
