Maryland Neuroscience Society

What is M.N.S?

The Neuroscience Club is established for the sole purpose of serving as a free forum for students interested in the many diverse areas of neuroscience, such as biology, psychology, linguistics, philosophy, art, English, computer science, anatomy/physiology, etc…Discussions, symposia, and seminars will allow students to further their understanding of not only basic neuroscience, but also to delve into the many applications and novel approaches to studying the different areas of this cutting-edge field. This organization was founded because of the inherent diversity in disciplines involved with the field of neuroscience. With the range of majors and expertise offered at the University of Maryland, the notion of a club that integrates and amalgamates these varied perspectives on the study of nature and man in general is an interesting prospect. As a result, the Neuroscience Club allows for students from different backgrounds to come together.
