Are there scholarships available if I make the Intercollegiate Team?

I want to apply to Maryland. How do I do so?
- You can apply online, just visit http://www.uga.umd.edu/apply/online.html.
I'm going to be at Maryland part-time, can I still play?
- In order to play for the Intercollegiate team, you must be taking at least 6 credits at UMCP. You may participate in any other club activity no matter what your status is at Maryland.
Where do you guys play?
- Pick-up is generally played at Berwyn Heights, an outdoor rink close to campus. Southeastern teams play at the Gardens Ice House in Laurel. The Intercollegiate team practiced last year at the Frederick Sportsplex and travels to different rinks along the East Coast.
How much does it cost?
- There are no fees to be a member of the club, no are there fees to play pick-up at Berwyn Heights. In order to play Southeastern, you must pay the league fee and supply your own jersey. For the Intercollegiate team, your fee depends on the league fees, as well as costs for pucks, practices, travel, and jerseys. The school does supply some money to cover the registration costs each year, but not the entire balance.
Is Roller Hockey an NCAA Sport?
- At this time, roller hockey is not recognized by the NCAA.
When are try-outs?
- Try-outs for the Intercollegiate team will be announced on this web site. Check out the Competitive section for more information.
Are the try-outs just for guys?
- No, not at all. Ladies are welcome to come and try-out for the Intercollegiate team. The CRHL-MAR is also trying to form a Women's division.
