THE PURPOSE

The Pre-Dental Society at UMD has been established to provide useful information for prospective dental students preparing for dental school. This includes information about the following: dental schools and dental school admissions, application procedures and guidelines (AADSAS) and DAT success strategies.

We will also have guest speakers from various areas within dentistry, including dental school admissions officers and general dentists and dental specialists. We have a biweekly meeting where a guest speaker is invited to come and share their knowledge in their particular area of expertise. We also meet weekly on an informal basis to share thoughts and ideas about dentistry and to build camaraderie among members.
