Membership

The membership of this society shall be open to all undergraduate students attending the University of Maryland who express interest in the field of medicine or related areas of study.

Your number of attendences can be monitored via your UMD account on the ELMS Website. New members may gain access to the ELMS Website after signing up at meetings or providing one's UMD directory ID to premed.umd at Gmail.

Active Membership: The society recognizes members that have taken an active role in the society by awarding a certificate of active membership in a reception at the end of each semester. Active membership is semesterly and requires:

  1. Attendance at least 3 Pre-Medical Society Meetings
  2. Community Service - Completion of 8 total hours of community service through:
    1. Participation of community service on your own
      2. OR
    2. Participation of community service events provided by Pre-med Society
