1. Executive Board & Committee Positions
Interested in running for an Executive Board or Committee position? Take a look at the attached position descriptions and fill out an application. All applications are due by Friday, April 11th at 4:30 pm, in 2141 TYD. Executive Board positions will be chosen by election. Committee positions are chosen by the new Executive Board.


2. Executive Board Elections

We will be holding Executive Board elections before our film night. All applicants MUST fill out and turn in the attached application.

3. Film Night
This semester we will be showing Freedom Writers after our Executive Board elections.

Primannum Honor Society is offering a free showing of the film "Freedom Writers" which stars Hilary Swank and Patrick Dempsey. This event is open to both members and non-members, with 1 point being offered for Primannum members. There will be some brief speakers after the film, so mark your calendars on THURSDAY, April 17th at 7pm in 0130 Tydings.

4. Honor Cords for May 2008 Graduating Seniors

If you would like to purchase honor cords for graduation, please be sure you meet the following qualifications for honor cords:

1. You must be graduating this semester (May 2008)
2. You must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher
3. You must have an average of 3 points per semester after induction. This applies even if you studied abroad.

For example, if you were inducted in the Spring of 2005, you would have been active for 6 semesters (Fall 05, Spring 06, Fall 06, Spring 07, Fall 07, Spring08) and need 18 points. To review the point system, please see our website at http://www.studentorg.umd.edu/prim/current/points.html

How to get your honor cords- the reply deadline is: 11:59pm April 16th, 2008

1. E-mail PrimannumPoints@gmail.com with the subject line: Senior Honor Cords.

2. Provide your: full name & UID.

3. We will check our database to make sure you qualify for honor cords. If you qualify, we will e-mail you further information by April 30th, 2008.

1. Bowling it Out with Primannum

Want to show off your bowling and billiards skills? Primannum will be hosting
"Bowling it Out with Primannum" at Terpzone on March 26th from 6 pm to 8
pm. Join other members for a relaxed causal event with free bowling, billiards,
and FOOD. Show off your skills, or learn with friends while your meeting fellow
members!

2. Induction Musician

Primannum is searching for a musician pianst! This year's induction ceremony is being
held on April 27th from 3-5pm and we are hoping to have someone play some
instrumental pieces during the ceremony. Interested applicants will be asked to
play a mini-audition (so we know you're good) and the chosen musician will be
compensated with a points and or a giftcard. Please e-mail Jessica at
jshin9@umd.edu by Friday, March 28th.

3. Saturday of Service, 2 points

Deadline to Register: March 28, 2008
Where: Lake Artemesia
Check-in and breakfast: 8:30 a.m. - 9:15 a.m. in the Baltimore Room in STAMP
Until: Students should return to campus by 2:30 p.m.
Date: Saturday, April 5, 2008
What: Join other students on campus with cleaning up and beautifying Lake Artemesia, which is right near campus. Be sure to wear clothes that you can get dirty!
How: Sign up or check out the itinerary by visiting http://www.csl.umd.edu/terpcorps/saturday_service.htm and clicking on "as an individual" and filling out all the information. Under "If applies, please specify your group or class:" enter "Primannum Honor Society."

Board Games/Puzzle Drive for YMCA- 1pt This MONDAY thru THURSDAY
When: Mon., March 10 through Thursday, March 13.
Drop-off location: 2141 Tydings, during normal business hours.
Points: 1
Please drop off either new or old (in good condition/all pieces included) games or puzzles. They will be donated to the YMCA Program Center of PG County. Games should be designated for children between the ages of 5 and 12.


The Primannum Honor Society New Member Scholarship Award
Deadline: Mon, March 24, 2008. (No later than 4:00 p.m to 2141 Tydings)
A scholarship that new UMCP Primannum Honor Society members (Spring 2008 inductee), who meet the requirements, can apply for. Application is attached and available on website. Please contact VP of Academic Affairs, Erica Guy (emguy@umd.edu), for any questions.
