About us

Rotaract is an affiliate of Rotary International for the 18-30 age group. Just like Rotary, it is driven by the motto of “service above self” and is known for its commitment to international community service in addition to local community service. As the organization is for young working professionals and college students, professional development is also a key part of the organization. Additionally, Rotaract is one of the fastest growing Rotary affiliates and combined with Rotary International, it has extensive networking, scholarship, internship, and study abroad opportunities available.

The Rotaract Club of College Park was charted in 2002 and is sponsored by College Park Rotary. The club is known on campus for the annual trick-or-treating event it holds for St. Anne’s Infant and Maternity Home.

In the past, College Park Rotaract has also participated in events such as Read Across America, Unite for Sight, fundraising for the Katrina efforts, and hosting a Carnival for the children of St. Anne’s. The most highly anticipated event of the year is attending Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA), which is a four-day leadership conference for high school students where Rotaract members participate as camp counselors.
