Marvin Pinkert is the Executive Director of the Center for the National Archives Experience, the exhibits and education center of the National Archives and Records Administration in Washington, DC. Over the last six years Mr. Pinkert led the team that created the award-winning Public Vaults exhibit as well as the new McGowan Theater, the Boeing Learning Center, and the new online experience, the Digital Vaults. Mr. Pinkert, whose academic specialization is in strategic planning for non-profit organizations, was awarded a Master of Management degree by Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg School of Management in 1984. He also holds an M.A. in East Asian Studies from Yale and a B.A. from Brandeis University.
Timothy Mulligan is a native of Baltimore, Maryland. He earned his doctorate in history at the University of Maryland in 1985 and worked for the National Archives from November 1972-January 2007. Mr. Mulligan received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2006 State of the Archives and Archivists Special Achievement Awards for his work over the course of his career at the National Archives. Mr. Mulligan is the author of three books and twenty articles and essays on German military and naval history and the Second World War. He has been teaching "History Through Hollywood" through Prince George's Community College since 2002.
Chris Haley was born in Washington, DC and is presently Director of the Utopia Film Festival to be held in October 2008, and is also the Director of Research for the Study of the Legacy of Slavery in Maryland. Mr. Haley received his Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Maryland, College Park. Mr. Haley saw two of his self penned, produced, and directed short film works: The Studio and B&B opened simultaneously at the Greenbelt Utopia Film and Video Festival and Annapolis Film Festivals, respectively, in November of 2005. Throughout his career, Mr. Haley has spoken on the theme of African American history and self-empowerment.

S.A.M. programming planned for 2008-2009 includes professional development events, tours, & partial scholarships to benefit archives students at the College Of Information Studies. Our operating budget comes entirely from student dues and fundraising events such as Americana. Your generous support makes the continued success of our student organization possible.
