The SAM President is responsible for representing the group interests to other organizations and school officials, including SAA, CLIS deans and faculty, and other University of Maryland groups and organizations.

The SAM Treasurer is responsible for collecting dues, reimbursing expenses, coordinating budget reporting, acts as registrar for financial matters, and oversees fundraising projects.

The SAM Secretary is responsible for keeping and distributing meeting minutes, maintaining the SAM archives, documenting SAM activities and programming events, and maintaining the SAM membership list..
