Purpose: Weekly tutoring, mentoring and workshop sessions with Community BridgesBR>

OMSE WELCOME
Date: September 8th, 2003 
Location: Hornbake Library Mall,
Time: 2:30 pm 
Purpose: We invite everyone to pass by the SIA table at the OMSE Welcome. Come out and learn more about our goals, sisterhood, local/national events and philanthropies.

  Latino Bienvenida Date: September 11th, 2003 
Time: 1:00 pm 
Location: St. Mary's Multipurpose Room;
Purpose: Come learn more about Latino based organizations serving the Maryland community.

  Hispanic Heritage Festival Date: September 12th, 2003 
Location: Hornbake Mall
Time: All Day  
Purpose: A day filled with events geared towards educating and sharing with our peers in regards to our rich Hispanic Heritage. Hosted by the Hispanic Heritage Coalition; an umbrella organization for Latino groups at UMCP. 

  All Nighter Date: September 19th, 2003 
Location: Stamp Student Union
Time: All Night  
Purpose: A chance to meet campus organizations and gather information. Come learn more about SIA, see our Hermanas perform at the PHC step show and take part in SIA Karaoke. 

  SIA Founders Week Date: September 22nd-26th, 2003 
Location: Various locations
Time: NA 
Purpose: A week filled with activities to educate the community about our organizations and issues affecting us all. 

  "Large Numbers, Small Voice" Is latino power only in numbers- a discussion. Date: September 22nd, 2003 
Location: TBA
Time: 6:30pm  
Purpose: As part of our month long celebration of Hispanice Heritage, we will discuss the current standing of Hispanics in the US with guest speaker Joe Heiny-Gonzalez. Manager of Hispanic Customer Services for Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services. 

  General Informational Date: September 24th, 2003 
Location: Hornbake Library, Non Print Media Room R, 4th Floor
Time: 6:30pm  
Purpose: Come learn more about our organization, our philantrophies, our goals, our sisterhood and local and national events. Open to all.  

  "Jump Start Girls/Adelante Ninas!" How to empower local girls and benefit the community Date: September 25th, 2003 
Location: Hornbake Library, Non Print Media Room R, 4th Floor
Time: 6:30pm  
Purpose: A mentoring and tutoring workshop in conjuction with Community Bridges; a local Non Profit organization.  

  SIA Founders Date: September 26-28th, 2003 
Location: SUNY-Old Westbury
Time: All Day  
Purpose: Celebrating the 13th year of our Hermandad. 

  SIA Founders Day Date: September 29th, 2003 
Location: Various Locations
Time: All Day  
Purpose: Today we celebrate the 13th anniversary of our Hermandad. There will be a rose sale to raise money for Breast Cancer and the showing of "Real Women Have Curves" @ 7:00 pm in the Non Print Media Room R (4th floor Hornbake).  

  SIA COMMUNITY SERVICE: AIDS Walk Washington D.C. Date: October 4th, 2003 
Location: Washington, D.C.
Time: All Day  
Purpose: Come burn some calories while raising money and awareness of the AIDS epedemic.  

  Hispanic Heritage Coalition Banquet Date: October 16th, 2003 
Location: TBA
Time: TBA  
Purpose: The Hispanic Heritage Coalition will end it's celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month with a banquet honoring all those who helped make the month a success.  

  General Information Date: October 23rd, 2003 
Location: TBA
Time: 7:30PM  
Purpose: Come learn more about our organization, our philantropies, goals and sisterhood.  

  Community Bridges Cultural Night Date: October 24th, 2003 
Location: TBA
Time: TBA  
Purpose: A night of cultural expression for the families and members of Community Bridges. Come see Regional SIA's stroll and perform Peruvian folklorico. 

  SIA COMMUNITY SERVICE: Diabetes Walk, Washington D.C. Date: October 25th, 2003 
Location: Washington D.C.
Time: All Day  
Purpose: Join SIA in raising funds and awareness for Diabetes.  

  SIA COMMUNITY SERVICE: Candy Run Date: October 31st, 2003 
Location: Community Bridges
Time: 5:00pm  
Purpose:Help the girls of Community Bridges kick start their "Trick or Treating".  


  SIA COMMUNITY SERVICE: Winter Clothing Drive Date: November, 2003 
Location: TBA
Time: Entire month  
Purpose: Please help the less fortunate and donate winter clothing. 

  SIA COMMUNITY SERVICE: Thanksgiving Help Date: November 23rd, 2003 
Location: Shepard's Table, Silver Spring
Time: 4:00pm 
Purpose: Food preparation for Thanksgiving dinner for the local homeless community.  


  "Take a break!" Date: December, 2003 
Location: TBA
Time: TBA  
Purpose: Finals are here! Come take a break with SIA. Food, tutoring help and some in between finals relaxation.
