SIFE-UM is dedicated to make a difference by teaching important concepts through educational outreach projects, including market economics, entrepreneurship, personal and financial success, and business ethics to better ourselves, our neighborhood communities, and partnering academic institutions.

Each team member is given the opportunity to develop leadership, teamwork and communication skills through learning, practicing and teaching the principles of free enterprise.

SIFE team of UM 2003 as established by a group enthusiasic business major students in the fall of 2003. Right now, it is already a business school recognized student organization, and it is very soon going to be a school recognized student organization.

THANK everyone for such hard work during the Regional Competition.

For those of you who were not there on Monday and have not yet learned about our results, it is with pleasure that we can tell you that... we won! We were the Regional Champions of our league and will participate in the National Competition that will take place in May in Kansas City.

We worked really hard throughout the semester and especially hard last weekend getting everything ready for our presentation. Initiatlly, I could not believe that we could have won, but I then realized that we truly deserved it. Every meeting we had, every project we developed and every activity we participated in, was created with the honest objective of making a difference, and that was certainly reflected in our presentation and thus in the excellent results we obtained.

I would also like to thank Dr. Cleveland for her continuous support in every aspect of our team's activities and for believing in us ever since our initial stages.

Thanks guys for making this dream a reality. Thanks for coming to our meetings every Monday no matter how busy you were. Thanks for taking the time and energy to teach others during our presentations (even on weekends or busy weekdays). Thanks for believing in our team and for representing with pride who we are and what we do. And of course, thanks for having the "passion" it takes to attain such accomplishments.

Thanks for everything and... congratulations SIFE team of the University of Maryland!. Way to go Terps!!! You all are amazing!
