This is what has been going on so far in with SIFE this week:
1. On Monday 3/8 Hoang, Farkas, and Manjula made a presentation for a
Markets & Societies class about Investments.
2. During our meeting last Monday we developed a tentative layout for
the annual report. Each student is in charge of writing a summary of a
project (due on Monday 3/15).
3. College Park members agreed on the following attire to wear at the
competition: women --> black suit and red shirt; men --> black suit,
white shirt and red tie. Still waiting for Shady Grove to confirm on this.
4. On Monday night, Babsi and I went to do a 'business coaching session'
with the owner of the Tea House. We exchanged ideas on how to increase
her sales and improve her strategy.
5. On Wednesday Babsi, Rocio and Ceci developed a marketing activity for
the Tea House. For almost 3 hours they promoted the business in front
of the Stamp, giving tea samples, cookies and flyers (that offered 10%
discount for Tea House products).
6. Farkas developed a proposal for the Dinning Services project. Manjula
and Farkas met with one of the directors of that department and explained
to them our idea. If confirmed, this project could be done after Spring
Break.
7. We are still waiting for Pushkar's update on the Hecht's project.
8. Prashant and I have kept communicating with YABT (Young Americas Business
Trust -- OAS) in regards to the Entrepreneurship Center in DC. We may
meet with them next Friday at the OAS offices. On 3/16 Prashant and I
may attend an Ethics and Poverty conference at the World Bank.
9. On Friday 3/12 Hoang and Rocio made an entrepreneurship presentation
in Flowers HS.
