The American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers is an educational and scientific organization dedicated to the advancement of engineering applicable to agricultural, food, and biological systems. Founded in 1907 and headquartered in St Joseph, Michigan, ASABE comprises 9,000 members in more than 100 countries. Biomedical Engineering Society
BMES was created to "promote the increase of biomedical engineering knowledge and its utilization." The Society has several conferences and publications, including the Annals of Biomedical Engineering and the BMES Bulletin. Members receive free subscription to the BMES Bulletin, the annual BMES Membership Directory, member rates on subscription to the Annals of Biomedical Engineering, discounts on registration fees at BMES meetings, advance notice of all BMES-sponsored meetings and events, privilege to hold office in the Society, and voting rights in the annual election of Society officers."
