Monthly Meeting - September 16th

We will be holding our first monthly chapter meeting of the new school year jointly with the National Capital Section of the OSA. The meeting will be held on September 16th in the Kim Building and will feature a local optics speaker. Refreshments will be provided, as will a dinner with the speaker afterwards. Stay tuned for more details to come...

The Student Chapter is looking for highly motivated individuals who want to help organize events and manage the chapter. Benefits include opportunities to participate in student leadership conferences, travel to collaborate with other student chapters and a chance to build your professional skills and resume. If you are interested in organizing community outreach events, managing the chapter or even publishing a journal, contact an officer today.

Poster Session Friday, April 20th

We will hold the event on the University of Maryland, College Park campus at the Kim Building. Professor Johnson's presentation will occur at 2:30 pm in the Pepco room, and the competition will follow in the Rotunda.

Congressional Visits Days 2008

Community Outreach Events

Are you interested in teaching the next generation of scientists? We are looking for volunteers to help teach local high school classes about physics and optics. These sessions are a great way to help out local high school science teachers and also look great on resumes. Contact an officer if you are interested in helping out.
