| About
the Terrapin Anime Society:
History:
The
Terrapin Anime Society (TAS) was formed in 1993 so that there
would be a place on campus at the University of Maryland to watch
and discuss Japanese animation, commonly known as anime. We meet
every Sunday from 5pm to 8pm in room H on the ground floor of
Hornbake Library. Our selection is pretty broad and includes television
series, mini-series (OVA/OAV), and movies. Anyone is welcome to
recommend things they have seen which might be of interest to
the group. Becoming a member is 100% FREE. All you have to do
is come to a meeting or contribute to one of our great activities
including Tsunami, watching anime, etc.
The Terrapin Anime Society also holds other events, including
having rooms at the annual All-Nighter event held in the Union.
Also, TAS also presents our fanzine "Tsunami" at Katsucon
and Otakon.
