Welcome to the site of Helpful Corn, where UMD women ultimate players have been breaking faces and ruining it for others since 1993. Here, you can stalk your favorite club team at Maryland, learn about the sport of Ultimate Frisbee, and find out why and how you can get involved in Helpful Corn!

Helpful Corn is a spirited and competitive force in the Colonial Section and Metro East Region. The team qualified for College Nationals during the 2008 season and placed third in the region in 2009. Get involved now to be part of the 2009-2010 team as we prepare for the best year yet!

What is Ultimate?
Ultimate is a fast-paced team sport that involves running, jumping, catching, throwing, scoring, and awesomeness.

Who can or should play Ultimate?
You. And everyone you know. You'll especially love ultimate if you've played high school sports and are looking for something new to do with awesome people.  Helpful Corn offers a friendly, fun, and competitive atmosphere. We welcome players with no previous experience.  We'll teach you everything you need to know!

Great! So, how do I get involved?
• Come visit us at practice!
• If you see someone throwing a disc on campus, stop and say hi!
• Send an email to maryland.helpfulcorn@gmail.com with questions!

What should I bring to practice?
• cleats - your soccer/lacrosse/football cleats are fine, as long as they don't have metal spikes. if you don't have cleats, other athletic shoes are fine
• lots of water or gatorade
• a WHITE shirt and a DARK shirt
